Auto Repair for Azusa Drivers Who Head East to Upland

Most Azusa drivers get on the 210 east at Azusa Ave and stay on it through Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne and Claremont. In Upland, take the Mountain Ave exit, go south to Foothill Blvd, then turn west toward Central Ave. The shop is one block east of In-N-Out Burger, on the north side of the road. Some people like the surface route. The old Route 66 corridor links Azusa to our front door, but it is a long chain of traffic signals, so most drivers save it for a day with no rush. Whichever way you come, check your map app before leaving, because the 210 can back up without warning.

Azusa sits at the mouth of San Gabriel Canyon, and Highway 39 climbs from the edge of town into the mountains. A weekend trip up the canyon means a long pull uphill, then a long descent where brakes get hot and the engine heat-soaks at the bottom. Dirt turnouts and trailhead lots send fine dust into the engine air filter and the cabin filter.

Weekday driving is a different kind of hard. The 210 slows in both directions at rush hour, and streets near Azusa Pacific University fill up when classes change. Stop-and-go traffic in San Gabriel Valley summer heat is tough on radiators, cooling fans, AC compressors and batteries, and it wears brake pads faster than open freeway miles do.

Azusa has its own repair shops, and many of them do honest work. People who come to us from Azusa are usually after something specific.
