On this page
Route 66 Auto Repair in Upland is a U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer, which means U-Haul runs the booking and billing while our counter handles your pickup and return in person. If this is your first rental, this page explains who does what, so you know whom to call when plans change. The short version: book online, meet us on Foothill Blvd, and keep your photos.
What does a Neighborhood Dealer actually do?
A Neighborhood Dealer is a local business that stores and hands out U-Haul equipment. U-Haul owns the trucks and trailers, sets the rates, and holds your reservation. We are the people you meet face to face.
That split matters. If you need to change your date, equipment or drop-off city, do it through our U-Haul reservation page. If you have a question about the truck in front of you, the lot, or the hookup, ask our counter.
Who handles each part of the rental?

What changes because we are also a repair shop?
Our bays are a few steps from the lot. If a renter's tow vehicle shows a leak or a warning light at pickup, a technician can say whether it is safe to tow today or should wait. That look is informal. A full vehicle safety inspection is a paid service with a written result.
The hookup check itself is free, and you can read what it covers on the free towing inspection page.
