Our light body repair process
Step 1: Inspect the damage and the mounts
We remove what is needed to see the brackets and clips behind the visible damage.
Step 2: Confirm it is light work
If we find welded panel or structural damage, we stop and explain the referral.
Step 3: Estimate and approve
You approve a written estimate listing each part, clip and labor line.
Step 4: Repair and refit
Damaged retainers are replaced, parts are refitted, and gaps are checked against the other side of the car.

What changes the price of light body repair?
Price depends on how many clips and brackets broke, whether a part is refitted or replaced, and the parts grade you choose. Same-day work happens when the board allows. AAA members save 10% on parts and labor, up to $75. A cracked cover usually means bumper cover replacement rather than a clip job, and we say which one you need.
Aftercare for light body work
Over the first week, listen for new buzzing or wind noise and check that refitted parts stay flush after a car wash. Anything that shifts comes back to the front of the line. If a door or fender gap still looks uneven, panel alignment is the next step.
Frequently asked questions
Can you just reattach my bumper cover?
Sometimes, if the clips and brackets are intact. Most often a bracket or retainer broke, and reattaching without replacing it does not last. We show you the broken piece and let you decide.
Do you paint panels?
Full panel refinishing is not something we market. If a repair needs fresh paint across a panel, we tell you before you approve anything and explain where that step would happen. Paint-intact dent work and bolt-on parts are the core of our in-house body work.
Will you check for other damage?
Yes. When a cover or liner comes off, we look at lamps, ducts, the condenser and the radiator area. Anything we find goes on the estimate as a separate line, marked need-now or need-later.
